This document defines our position on Artificial Intelligence and its role in the 3D asset marketplace. We stand firmly behind the artists who bring their vision and skill to every product, and our policies are designed to protect their work while fostering innovation that empowers rather than replaces human creativity.
Policy Overview1. Human‑Created Final Products:Assets offered on Cosmos must be authored by human artists. AI may support technical steps—as described in Section 4—but it should not replace artistic authorship. Final deliverables (3D assets, environments, materials, and similar products) are expected to be human-created rather than AI-generated.Promotional visuals (product images, thumbnails, banners, and gallery renders) must faithfully represent the product itself and should not rely on AI generation or enhancement in ways that misrepresent the work.2. Prohibition of AI Training Data Usage:Products purchased from Cosmos under Individual, Studio, or Enterprise licenses cannot be used as training data or reference material for AI/ML systems, neural networks, or any automated content generation tools. This restriction protects the intellectual property rights of our artists and ensures their work is not used to train AI systems without proper compensation or consent.3. Privacy and Data Protection:Cosmos strongly opposes scraping practices and the selling of user data. We'll never sell or share your data with a third party or use data on Cosmos to train our own AI models. Customers are also not allowed to use purchased products to train AI models without explicit permission through ourAI Dataset Licensing program.4. Permitting AI-Assisted Workflow Tools:We recognize the value of AI in making artists' workflows more effective. Therefore, utility-based AI tools such as auto-rigging, UV unwrapping, retopology tools, texture enhancement, and other assistive technologies that help but do not replace the artist's creative process are permitted and encouraged. These tools should enhance productivity while keeping the artist in full creative control.
AI Dataset Licensing for Leartes ProductsWhile we maintain strict protections for third-party artists on our marketplace, we take a different approach with products created by Leartes and our subsidiary brands. We believe in supporting technological advancement and AI/ML research.For products specifically created by Leartes, we offer special AI/ML dataset licensing that allows you to use our products (3D models, environments, etc.) for training and developing AI systems. If you're interested in using Leartes-branded products for AI/ML development, please contact us to discussappropriate licensing options.Products acquired through AI Dataset Licensing are exclusively permitted for use as training data or reference material for AI/ML systems, neural networks, and automated content generation tools. These assets cannot be used for commercial purposes, resold, or redistributed in any form. The license is strictly limited to AI/ML development and research applications.
