<div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content"><p>Hello everyone,
I'm excited to share the beginning of a new journey: Lost Worlds of the Fallen Sky.

For this challenge, I wanted to explore the remnants of a forgotten age—a vision of Earth reclaimed by nature after the collapse of a once mighty, spacefaring civilization.

The idea began with a simple question:
What would the world look like if humanity's greatest achievements fell from the sky and were slowly swallowed by time?

I imagined colossal satellite rings—once orbiting our planet—now shattered, sunken into forests, mountains, and oceans. Over centuries, they’ve fused with the earth itself, becoming both relic and landscape. Strange monuments of metal, stone, and moss.

Here’s a glimpse of my concept and reference board:

Concept Pictures were generated using Midjourney using variations of this prompt:
ancient crashed satellite ring, forgotten world, colossal structure half-buried in dirt and vegetation, moss-covered metal ruins, broken segments towering over misty forests, faded technology merging with nature, soft ambient lighting, desaturated colors, sci-fi post-apocalypse --ar 21:9 --v 6

Reference Pictures were taken from google search.

I’ll be building this environment in Unreal Engine 5, focusing on real-time storytelling and atmosphere.
For assets, I’m planning to use a mix of Quixel Megascans, The Pine, Hemlock Forest, Watermills / Nature, Medieval Fantasy Ruins, and custom modular pieces I’ll model in Unreal Engine. I’ll also be exploring new workflows for foliage scattering with Dash and setting up dynamic lighting to capture the feeling of a living, breathing lost world.

The way he stretches the scale of buildings, making them towering and exaggerated, really creates an interesting shapes and intense sense of depth.

It also made me think of Dishonored and its distinct architectural style, so I pulled some inspiration from that, along with other steampunk visuals. Introduction of my mind piece for the #learteschallenge

The mystery port

<div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>Hello Everyone!</p><p>I’m excited to announce that I’m officially joining the Veiled Realms Art Challenge and wanted to share my first WIP with you all. I have always considered creating a rich Arabian Environment, and I think this is the right time to do it. I’ve decided to create a paradise city hidden within a vast oasis. The architecture blends Islamic and Sufi-inspired styles, featuring minarets, ornamentation, and colors like cobalt blue and turquoise. The people living here follow a peaceful, spiritual lifestyle rooted in humility, modesty, and love for the divine.</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>I don't have a direct concept, which means I will be building the world from scratch with the help of AI-generated images and different concepts that I'll be using for inspiration.</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="image-content" class=""><img src="https://uploads.cosmos.leartesstudios.com/blog/temp/4422e580-7dcc-4d9f-acf8-f63c747a0f41/4422e580-7dcc-4d9f-acf8-f63c747a0f41.jpeg" class="null"></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>I would call it for now "The Hidden Paradise", I might change that name when I give it enough thought later. I spent a few hours doing some studies about all the aspects of this Environment and the people who live there, because everything is going to shape the final product, so I have to keep everything in mind, such as Society &amp; Culture, like Why Are The people here? What do they believe in and what their Values are, etc.</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>I have already started building a Miro WhitBoard to write down all these information and gather references.</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="image-content" class=""><img src="https://uploads.cosmos.leartesstudios.com/blog/temp/8b554291-239a-44d6-8231-ff1c3aa08794/8b554291-239a-44d6-8231-ff1c3aa08794.png" class="null"></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>I'm planning to use Unreal Engine 5 as a game engine, Modeling will be done in 3Ds max, I will relay a lot on Substance Painter and Designer since my environment will have Calligraphy and colorful ornemants, I'll be using Zbrush as well for the organic stuff and vegetaion, I might use some assets and materials I created before by myself.</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>See you in the next WIP!</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>#learteschallenge</p></div></div>

The Hidden Paradise

<div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content"><p>I've always been drawn to the dieselpunk aesthetic—gritty, industrial, and steeped in a sense of alternative history. Concepts like Vienna and Ghent capture this mood perfectly with their mix of old-world architecture and steely, atmospheric charm. For my current project, I want to build on that foundation while pushing the visual language further. I'm considering introducing more vibrant elements—perhaps neon-drenched holograms in the spirit of cyberpunk, eccentric characters with bold silhouettes, or even something organic and symbolic, like a blooming cherry tree breaking through the concrete. These juxtapositions could help breathe life into the otherwise muted palette of dieselpunk and hint at a deeper narrative tension within the world.</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="image-content"><img src="https://uploads.cosmos.leartesstudios.com/blog/77/images/cc69c7aa-2c6b-41cb-b93e-7ab48fe77846.jpeg" alt="__editor_image_0__"></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content"><p>To bring this vision to life, I’ll be using Unreal Engine for building the scene, Blender for crafting 3D assets, and InstaMAT for texturing and material work.

Next up will probably be a rough blockout and some concepting.

Veiled Diesle Punk Realms

<div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>

I'll be building this environment in Unreal Engine, focusing the monochrome and solid contrasts throughout each scene. The goal is an evocative environment piece capturing the mood of controlled existence and simmering rebellion

</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>Excited to be part of the Veiled Realms challenge ("Forgotten / Fantastic World")! My concept dives into a stark, monochrome, Brutalist city where society is segregated by assigned hues of light, and technology is forbidden – a world where freedom and color are forgotten, creating a uniquely fantastic dystopia.

The core idea follows a fugitive joining a hidden resistance against the tech-hoarding elite controlling this visually repressed world. My vision draws inspiration from the architectural class division of Metropolis, the oppressive atmosphere of 1984, and the brutalist/retro-tech aesthetics of Atomic Heart</p></div></div><div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>Using the following tools:

Prism Exile: Breaking the Lens

<div class="editor-paragraph has-content"><div data-type="text-content" class=""><p>Context
The kingdom I'm going to build is set in a fantasy universe where many intelligent races exist, such as elves, humans, dwarves, dragons, and more. For this project, I'm going to focus on the Dwarven Kingdom. This kingdom is ancient, possesses technology far superior to that of other kingdoms, and has never been successfully invaded. While other kingdoms use swords and magic spells, the Dwarven Kingdom uses heavy weapons such as turrets and war machines. This kingdom is located within a mountain in the north of the continent. Its surroundings are inhospitable, but they discovered how to survive using magic and technology. In addition, they possess the largest mine on the continent, full of magical minerals that supply the Dwarven Kingdom with practically unlimited energy. Within the kingdom, there are a large number of caves and passages that connect the caves like an anthill. The dwarven kingdom possesses technology that defies common sense, such as flying cars and solar lighting inside the caves, in addition to the abundant presence of intelligent automatons and the automation of many everyday tasks. The dwarven kingdom is peaceful despite receiving constant threats of invasion, the inhabitants are accustomed to the failed attempts of the other kingdoms. The kingdom's government has a defense department consisting of only a small group of dwarves for the maintenance and development of defense systems consisting of lethal machinery such as autonomous turrets and magic shields as well as proximity tracking and many other things that this kingdom possesses autonomously using artificial intelligence. But the main objective of the kingdom is for the inhabitants to feel comfortable within the mountain, for this reason the interiors of the kingdom are constantly being renovated, which is why it is normal to see constructions in development, basically there is a utopia within the kingdom. Most dwarves focus on forming a family or socializing in groups of like-minded individuals. Dwarven traditions are based on preserving the kingdom and avoiding contact with other kingdoms.
To support the scenarios, I developed a story that takes place within the kingdom. This story is about an engineer in charge of developing and maintaining defense machinery, such as the turrets that protect the kingdom's entrances.
This story explores the perspective of the engineer, who is deeply committed to defending the dwarven kingdom, as well as his relationship with his partner, who dreams of leaving the mountain and exploring the world. The plot begins when the human race attacks the dwarves, but this time, the humans come prepared and with many resources at their disposal, as they have powerful allies like the elves and the dragon race. A full-scale war begins for the defense of the dwarven kingdom. Our protagonist is responsible for defending his kingdom, utilizing all the superior technology at his side. This war is important only to all races except the dwarves, who don't doubt their victory for a second, and our protagonist is responsible for ensuring nothing goes wrong.
Below, I'll show some references I plan to use.

Project Plan
To begin, I'm going to gather references from caves, technological and futuristic devices, and dwarven culture and hobbies. I'm also going to draw references from their houses to adapt them to a more futuristic approach. I also plan to add large mineshafts and many giant vehicles to transport minerals. I plan to build autonomous farms and artificial sunlight inside the caves, and for all of that, I need references. For the kingdom's facade, it will basically be mountains with large turrets on top.
Then I'll start sketching my key settings, such as the protagonist's bedroom, the park near the protagonist's house, the cave where the protagonist has a date with his partner, and finally, the control room where you can see the exterior of the caves.
Then I'll start blocking the scenery using Autodesk Maya.
Then I'll begin modeling, and if necessary, I'll add details using ZBrush or Marvelous for the fabrics. I'll also use Substance Painter and Designer for the textures.

I plan to use warm colors inside the cave and cool colors outside the cave.

Hi, my name is Janessa, a concept artist currently based in Montreal. Here's my challenge blog post~!

Veiled Realms

<h2>Hey all for this challenge i have choose the Baj - Sheerh by Max Bedulenko</h2><p><img src="https://uploads.cosmos.leartesstudios.com/blog/temp/be3a0c9b-7370-4ac2-b730-55995d7f0d06/be3a0c9b-7370-4ac2-b730-55995d7f0d06.png" alt=""></p><p>I was instantly drawn to this piece from Baj’s collection—not just because of its breathtaking detail and intricate architecture, but because it feels alive. The more I studied it, the more I wanted to step into this world, explore its hidden corners, and lose myself in its atmosphere.
